Marc Gunther is a veteran journalist, speaker, and writer who has reported on business and sustainability for many years. He writes about foundations and nonprofits on his blog, Nonprofit Chronicles. Gunther was editor at large of The Guardian’s Sustainable Business U.S. from 2012 through 2015. He was a senior writer at FORTUNE magazine from 1996 through 2008. And he was creator and co-chair of Brainstorm Green, FORTUNE’s annual conference on business and the environment, which ran from 2008 through 2014. Gunther is the author or co-author of four books, including Faith and Fortune: How Compassionate Capitalism is Transforming American Business (Crown 2004). He has contributed stories to The New York Times, Washington Post and The Chronicle of Philanthropy. He is a graduate of Yale, a husband and father, a marathon runner and a lover of the outdoors. He lives in Bethesda, MD.
